Cardenas Partners Announce Addition of Scott Campaign Advisor and Washington Strategist Veteran GOP Campaign Insider Lanny Wiles Joins Nationally Recognized Lobbying Firm
(Tallahassee, FL) – The Advocacy Group at Cardenas Partners today announced political strategist and veteran campaign insider Lanny Wiles will join the firm as a Senior Counselor. The announcement comes following Wiles’ service as Florida Governor Rick Scott’s Tour Director for the 2010 campaign and as a Senior Advisor to the Scott/Carroll Inaugural Committee.

A Jacksonville, Florida resident, Lanny Wiles has over 35 years experience of working with the legislative and executive branches of government including White House service, five national presidential campaigns, strategist for United States Senate and House of Representative candidates, three gubernatorial campaigns, a large city mayoral race and numerous national voter initiatives.

About Lanny Wiles Mr. Wiles’ political and campaign experience spans over three decades, beginning in 1976 when he was one of a small band of Republicans who supported then-Governor Ronald Reagan’s bid to become the GOP Presidential nominee. He later served as a trusted advance and logistics coordinator for the campaign, Reagan/Bush Transition in California and in the White House. Wiles continued to serve President Reagan and his team in a volunteer capacity for the duration of President Reagan’s two terms.
He was appointed by the President to the United States Small Business Advisory Committee where he served one term. Mr. Wiles was the Tour Director in 2000 for Senator John McCain’s presidential bid and returned in 2008 to champion and lead the charge for McCain’s New Hampshire victory, which set the stage for his string of early primary victories and earning him the Republican nomination. Wiles serves on the leadership committees of Senators Tom Colburn (R-OK), Richard Burr (R-NC) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH).
