Justin Day is a Director at The Advocacy Group (TAG), where he brings over ten years of experience in the political and governmental fields to the firm. Mr. Day provides guidance to clients that perform business with state, county, and municipal governments, as well as public-private partnerships, public transit, airports, and seaports. He assists clients in all aspects of government affairs and business development including: procurement, regulations, legislation, solicitations, negotiations, teaming, and strategic planning. Mr. Day’s clients have interests in the areas of transportation, construction, public works, technology, and the environment.
Prior to joining TAG, Mr. Day worked in senior finance roles on various campaigns in Florida including campaigns for U.S. Senate, Governor, Attorney General, and various local campaigns. Mr. Day has raised over $12 million dollars for local, state, and federal candidates. He is active in national Democratic politics serving on President Barack Obama’s National Finance Committee and as the Tampa Bay Regional Finance Chairman for President Obama’s re-election campaign. In addition, he was a National Co-Chair for the Democratic National Committee’s Gen44 program.
Mr. Day is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelors Degree in International Affairs and a Masters Degree in Applied American Politics and Policy. He is a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee, and currently serves on the Business Forward Local Leadership Council, Greater Tampa Chamber Public Policy Committee, Tampa Bay Committee on Foreign Relations, Chairman of the Tampa Bay New Leaders Council, President of AMIkids Tampa Board of Trustees, and an Executive Committee Member of the National Board of Trustees for AMIkids, Inc. He resides in Tampa with his wife Elena.
